Bad news concerning the crankshaft i wrote about earlier. I send it out to get balanced, but with magnafluxing they found a hairline crack. This means we throw it in the bin since you dont want to take any risk on this. Picture 1 shows a small green line glowing up in UV light. Thats the crack.

So a replacement was arranged quickly at Biggelaar Special Performance. A crank originally from a ST3. Will fit just fine in the 1100DS engine, all the same.

To lighten it i just grinded of the sides of the counterweights and followed the original line of the top piece. Ready to get streamlined and balanced out with the new pistons and conrods.
